Gauge R&D

Housing Design

Prototyping

•Tackled R&D of a new type of gauge, developed to fit the clients needs.

•Process included mechanical design, test fixture design, repeatability/accuracy tests.

•Next in the process was design of a housing for the robot to interface with the gauge.

•Process included sealing design, design for manufacture, circuit board mounting, mounting for lighting/camera system.

•During the timeframe of housing design, several prototypes were fabricated. These prototypes were utilized as demonstration models.

•These demonstration models were used to present concepts and design questions to mentors.
